As a commitment to the Automatic Exchange of Information (“AEOI”), Hong Kong is dedicated in combating tax evasions and developing a more transparent tax regime. The Common Reporting System (“CRS”) is in effect from 1st January 2017 with the exchange of information commencing from 2018.

 

The Inland Revenue Department of Hong Kong (“IRD”) is committed in the exchange of information with other CRS signatories. Accordingly, all financial institutions in Hong Kong are obliged to receive and submit to the IRD a “CRS Self Certification form” and other relevant information on all their account holders’ tax status. Anyone in contravention to the CRS will be subject to fine and legal liabilities.

 

In order to comply with the above requirement, please fill in the “Self Certification form” and submit to us on or before 31st March, 2017 (attention: Settlement Department) via i) mail to 16/F Great Eagle Centre, No. 23 Harbour Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong;  ii) fax to (852) 2587-8001 or iii) email to settlement@successfn.com. Information obtained may be disclosed to the regulatory authorities and/or government departments at their request. Should there be any changes to the information above, please contact us within 30 days of such change.
