SFG Sponsored the Return of the Antique Sailing Junk Duckling

SFG has recently sponsored the antique Chinese shipwreck Duckling to set sail again, while SFG Chief Executive Officer Mr. Tom Chan and Financial Secretary of HKSAR Mr. John Tsang joined the kick off ceremony. This 60-year-old ship sailing again in the Victoria Harbour will help promote Hong Kong's spirit of perseverance.

 

Duckling was built in 1955 and is now the only remaining antique Chinese sailing junk in Hong Kong. After over a year suspending, Duckling was recently refurnished before set sail again. It will be opened to public and part of the proceeds will go to charity.

 

SFG Chief Executive Officer Mr. Tom Chan said "From formerly a fishing port to nowadays a metropolitan, Duckling has witnessed the ups and downs of Hong Kong for the past 60 years and has always been regarding as one of the landmarks in Hong Kong. I am delighted to see the Duckling sailing in Victoria Harbour again, representing the spirit of enterprising Hongkongers will carry forward.”
